Our Story

Hello there! I’m Leanne, the face behind The Brain and Behaviour Clinic. I am a Clinical Psychologist providing cognitive, psychological, and behavioural based assessments for children from 5 years of age, through to adolescents, and adults. Areas of particular interest include neurodevelopmental and neurocognitive disorders such as Intellectual Disability or Impairment, Specific Learning Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The Brain and Behaviour Clinic opened its doors back in 2020 led by a colleague Bryony Kitter, with the goal of providing quality evidence-based assessment services within the Sunshine Coast and its surrounds. The objective, investigative, and informative nature of the assessment process is what drives us, and I endeavour to work with individuals and families in a compassionate, supportive, and non-judgemental approach, adopting an evidenced-based, neuro-affirming model of assessment. This aids to gain a comprehensive understanding of an individual’s cognitive and behavioural abilities, guides decision-making, and informs future support and treatment options for individuals, families, and treating teams.

You may have landed on this webpage because you have been referred for an assessment or perhaps you are just exploring your options. I pride myself on tailoring assessments to an individual’s needs and helping people to navigate what can often feel like an overwhelming and daunting process. Please reach out if you feel The Brain and Behaviour Clinic may be able to be of assistance to you
